How To Get Designer Shoes For Half The Price
Yes - you read that right! I really am going to tell you how I get my designer shoes for less than half of the RRP price... but, with all good things there is a slight snag - but only if you let it be.
Let me explain.
As I was casually strolling through TikTok (as I think most of us are during lockdown!) I came across a video of someone who shared that they had bought a pair of Nike trainers which were meant to be £120 and they only paid £30 for them. As usual, I was like "hmm what's the catch?", so off I went to investigate.
For those of you who have already heard about Schuh Imperfects but are unsure on whether to order, hopefully this post will give you the confidence and reassurance that you are looking for to order (and 15% off at the end of this post!).
For those of you who have no idea what Schuh Imperfects is - I'm here to fill you in and bring your designer shoe dreams to life (plus 15% off at the end of this post!).
What Is Schuh Imperfects?
Schuh is a big retail store that sells all sorts of shoes from Ugg to Lacoste, Nike to Tommy Hilfiger. Schuh imperfects are exactly as described - shoes that haven't sold because they are imperfect in some way and so come with a huge discount.
What Sort of Imperfections Are We Talking About?
Because we live in a world where businesses have to be transparent about what they are selling, the Schuh website lays out exactly what is "wrong" with the shoe and why it's in the imperfect site, along with a photograph so you can see for yourself.
Here's an example (don't rush to order just yet - 15% off at the end of this post for you!)
The Tommy Hilfiger TJ Flatform Sneakers were sold in main Schuh stores for £85.00. The "imperfection" is described as '...one shoe has some discolouration' - but here is the photo (check out the price!):
I can't really see anything major on this photo at all and speaking from experience, I think Schuh are just being a little over cautious because no one likes a complainer on the blower after they have received an item which was not as described.
Other imperfections described on the website include:
- scratches or scuffs
- irremovable dirt marks
What About Your Experience?
After researching for literally hours on the website, I eventually bit the bullet and ordered two pairs of shoes. In total it was £47 at risk, but the risk was totally worth it, in the end!
I ordered a pair of Lacoste pumps which were described as "discoloured" and a pair of Tommy Hilfiger flat forms (pictured) which had "irremovable" dirt marks. I paid £17 and £30 respectively, saving £38 off the RRP on the Lacoste's and a massive £65 on the Tommy's! Almost seems to good to be true doesn't it? Well, from my experience it definitely paid off!
I'll be honest, I was so worried about what they were going to be like when they arrived. Turns out, I had nothing to be bothered by.
The Lacoste pumps arrived and I could not find any fault with them until my 3rd inspection where I found the slightest scuff up the inside of the sole, but they definitely were not discoloured as described - at least I couldn't tell.
The Tommy Hilfiger trainers seemed like much more of a bargain though. They were described as having an irremovable dirt mark which they did, ever so slightly, on the inside back of one shoe. The other shoe was absolutely untouched and undamaged. This mark does not bother me in the slightest as it's inside the shoe, no one can see it when I have them on anyway! Absolutely chuffed to bits with my purchases and will definitely buy more.
A bonus to shopping on Schuh Imperfect too is the website is so easy to navigate - just put in your shoe size and click 'view all' and every shoe they have available as an imperfect in your size will show up.
